What is it all about?

Refuge Student Ministry exists, first and foremost, to provide a place for students from the 7th - 12th grade to experience the love of Christ. Although we plan and participate in a lot of tun and exciting activities, our vision and mission are always at the forefront.

The message is... Jesus loves you. Come join us as we seek to grow in our Active Passion for God, live with a Heart of Praise, live in Genuine Community with each other, and Love ALL the poeple around us with God's love.

Who is involved?

Well, there are students, of course. Students from 7th grade up to 12th grade. And there are adult volunteers. Adults from within Tanner Street Church of God, and oftentimes parents of students in the group, volunteer their time to lead, disciple, nurture and grow your kids in their knowledge of Christ and His love. Those volunteers are carefully and thoroughly selected to be a part of the leadership team and are screened by an outside company. And they pass the test when it comes to adults who can love and relate to kids from all walks of life.

When do we meet?

There are lots of meeting opportunities for youth. Because they are social creatures by nature, students in this age range love to gather and gab. Wednesday nights is our promary meeting time with gathers from 6:30-8:30pm; students get a chance to hang out, play games, worship, and hear from God's Word. You can check out what we are currently teaching on Wednesday nights here.

We also get together on Sunday mornings for 'Rooted' (Sunday School) as well as also meeting up at various times and dates for service projects and special events. So be sure to check our CALENDAR often to find out about special events.

It's exhausting. But it's what we love to do!
