  • Practice a variety of spiritual exercises/disciplines to deepen trust and dependence on
  • God, regularly create space to hear from God; including but not limited to reading, study, meditation on God’s Word, prayer, worship, service, silence, solitude and celebration
  • Loves the Church

  • People’s value is more than their usefulness as tools for ministry; they are God’s children, fellow pilgrims along the narrow way.
  • Care for leading people deeper in the stream of obedience-no matter where they are along the stream to help them wade a bit deeper
  • Pastoral care, part of larger church, including hospital visitation and soul care
  • Loves Students/Children

  • Passionate about connecting with students/children where they live and go to school.
  • Passionate about sharing life with them as well as sharing the life-changing story of Jesus.
  • Passionate about discipling students/children to become life-long follower of Jesus.
  • Finding places for service inside and outside the church, training up current and future leaders.
  • Theology of Ministry: who we are, why we gather, how we minister, what student ministry is not.
  • We are on a journey going somewhere, more than a collection of students/children hanging out and doing some activity.
  • Love Innovation

  • We are open to everything that can point people to Jesus. Open to innovative methods to proclaim the message. There is freedom in bringing creativity to the table of ministry.
  • Loves Administration

  • Schedule and organize all programing, trips, events and fundraisers.
  • Lead training and improvement for volunteers
  • Loves Team Work

  • Effectively works with teams of volunteers
  • Work with Pastor and staff for longer term planning
  • Bring creativity and innovation, tradition and freedom to the table
  • Debrief regularly with Pastor and staff, what went well, how could we make it better?
  • Loves Accountability

  • Daily responsible to Lead Pastor, responsible to Leadership Team, Responsible to entire congregation
  • Regular office hours
  • Weekly staff meetings
  • Occasional staff retreats
  • Willing to put down some roots. It takes time to get to know the people and to earn their trust and to see results. Baring any major issues make a commitment of five to seven years.
